Our Story
Have you ever had a really cool idea, and thought … Maybe I should do that? Well …
Once upon a time, there were four-Penny girls that loved a good story. One afternoon in the family mini-van their Mom had an idea. Wouldn’t it be fun to listen to Children’s theatre voiced completely by children? So, she decided to try it, to create something new to keep everyone captivated, entertained and imaginations sparked! She started a company that produces Audio Children’s Theatre, for kids – by kids! Suddenly all was quiet in the car until the story was over, and the best words of all were uttered … “play it again Mommy!”
And so the journey began…
The 6 Pence Players bring children’s theatre to life for young ears by young voices! So, sit back, close your eyes, travel to far away lands filled with whimsy and magic, and let your imagination soar!
LYNN LLEWELYN PENNY: Executive Producer
Lynn is a busy Mom of four fabulous girls, and lucky wife to Will Penny. She is an actress from Los Angeles, but happily makes her home in the mountains of North Carolina with her family. Lynn has worked on stage and in film and television on both coasts, and as voice talent nation-wide. She teaches voice-over workshops and acting classes to kids at the Flat Rock Playhouse, drives a lot of car-pools, plays dress up, soccer, Barbies, and does a whole lot of laundry! She is proud to add “Executive Producer” to her credits!... Who knew?

6 Pence has truly grown out of a passion. It is through my love of theatre, recording and kids that 6 Pence has emerged. Of course, my own children were the real “inspiration” for this project. I am inspired and awed by them every single day! Molly, Caroline, Clancy and Sammy and to Will, my own hero and Knight in Shining Armor–Thank you!
